For Americans & Brits buying in Italy

Buying a home in Italy? Get someone on your side of the table.

In Italy, the agent in the room works for the seller. I work only for you — finding the right home, negotiating the price, and running the whole process in English, from the first search to the keys in your hand.

Sal — Ask SalBuyer’s agent, based in Umbria · working across all of Italy

What the call is

It’s not a sales call. It’s an orientation.

Twenty minutes, on video, completely free. Here’s what we cover:

  • Where you are in your move — and when you’re actually arriving in Italy.
  • What you’re really looking for — and what it realistically costs.
  • The 3 mistakes that cost foreign buyers the most — so you avoid them from day one.

You leave with a clear read on your situation, whether we work together or not.

Who it’s for

Built for buyers who are ready to move.

  • You’re American or British and planning to buy a home in Italy.
  • You’re moving or making the leap in the next few months to a year.
  • You want someone who negotiates for you — not the seller’s agent doing you a favor.

Still years away and just dreaming? That’s completely fine — but this call is built for people who are ready to act.

Why it matters

In Italy, nobody’s protecting the buyer.

Here’s the part most foreign buyers don’t learn until it’s too late: the agent showing you the house works for the seller. When you buy, there’s usually no one negotiating your price, reading the fine print, or telling you to walk away from a bad deal.

I’m the opposite of that. I work only for buyers. I find the right home, negotiate the price, handle the paperwork, and run the entire process in English — from the first search to the keys in your hand.

Who you’ll talk to

I’m Sal.

Born in Umbria, raised between the US and Australia — English is my first language. I’ve lived in the US, Australia, and Istanbul, so I know exactly what it feels like to buy across borders and languages.

I’m based in Umbria and work across all of Italy as a buyer’s agent, part of the iad network. My whole job comes down to one thing: your side of the table, in Italy.

Before you book

Straight answers.

Is the call really free?

Yes. No cost, no obligation. If it’s not a fit, you still leave with useful direction.

Do you only cover Umbria?

No — Umbria is home base, but I work across all of Italy.

What if I’m not ready to buy yet?

If you’re moving within the next year, the call is still worth it — early clarity saves you money later. If you’re years out, I’ll tell you honestly.

Do you speak English?

It’s my first language. The entire process runs in English, start to finish.
